When we first bought the house this wall had a big boxed-in hole in the wall meant for a TV...which some would probably like the idea of... Except for the fact that our TV didn't fit the hole! The tilework on the fireplace hearth was about as shotty as it gets, and we just didn't like the whole thing at all... ...So heregos another complete overhaul! Spencer pulled out all the old tile and the hearth and we picked out some tile that we liked much better...I think he did fabulous on his first tile job! Then he built studs and drywalled that big hole shut! It was amazing watching him work... He just somehow knows how to do stuff that he's never done before. I wish you could see him go at it all... He never ceases to amaze me. We're not quite done with this wall, though. He just finished wiring in the surround sound, and we have to pick out a mantel to go around the fireplace, which will hide that last cord hanging out.
Amy your house is getting gorgeous! I can tell from here! You HAVE been really hard at work! Isn't it amazing how these handy men just know how to do stuff? Maybe they learn in Young Mens or something. Aaron is the same way and LOVES having a project to work on. It all looks great! Love the tile you picked too! Can't wait to see the mantle!
